On the evening of Wednesday 6th of September, the girls of Inspiring Women in Data Science hosted another highly successful evening of learning and networking at Elastacloud's London offices.
This time around we had an amazing speaker in the form of Steph Locke, founder of LockeData and Microsoft Data Platform MVP. After a brief introduction by our own Data Science genius Laura Da Silva, Steph began by explaining her experiences in tech and how she started out in the world of Data Science.
After a short break, the session continued with Steph's presentation on "Cutting the R Learning Curve" which was full of really helpful tips and tricks for anyone getting started with using R, especially for Data Science.
The room was alive with questions from the attendees, and Steph's conversational presentation style made the session feel really comfortable and collaborative.
The session ended with more questions, followed by snacks and drinks while me all got to know each other better. Thanks to all of the attendees, and a big thank you to Steph for being such an excellent speaker!
